So it's been a while since I last wrote, or even posted anything. University started back up again at the beginning of March and getting used to the number of lectures has been something of a steep learning curve. I went from having one or two a week in the last three years to seven, sometimes eight in the last four or so weeks; definitely, something that I haven't done since I was last at high school.
I've started on a Bachelor of Arts, which gives me the freedom to pursue my interests.
Latin is a subject that I haven't studied since year seven, which was ten years ago, and coming back to it is both familiar and completely devoid of all recognition at the same time. One moment I'll think that I recognise something, like a noun or verb, and the next when my lecturer mentions declensions and conjugation all familiarity goes out the window. But I'm slowly plodding along with it, and just praying that my memory can hold all the knowledge up when the exam comes along.
But I suppose if I can remember odd details about The Silmarillion or Dragon Age, I can make myself remember first conjugation verbs and second declension nouns, right?
