a new year

Happy 2020!

It's definitely strange to write or even think about the last year (or even the last ten years) and how terrifyingly quickly it's all gone by.

Almost something magical about seeing older crafts coming back into "fashion"
In the past ten years, I started and finished high school, started and graduated from university, decided to go back to university, had multiple jobs (and applied for so many more), gotten back into reading actual books, bought a PS4 (and played far too much Dragon Age: Inquisition), developed an obsession with drinking tea and one year managed to convince my parents to allow me to paint my bedroom two different shades of blue (three if you count the inside of my wardrobe)!

I haven't posted or written as much as I wanted to in 2019, but the fact that I've written at all is an achievement in and of itself! The thing is I want to do better and write more often on this blog, as well as to start on the novel draft that I've been trying to write for years.

One of the (many) photos that was taken during December, 2019
I've been making a list of sorts, a bucket list if you will of things that I would love to have done by the age of twenty-five (2021 for me). It's a work in progress, but here a few of the things that I would like to have done by October 2021.

Do a 5K run
This is pretty self-explanatory; I've done a 5km swim before, but my running abilities have never been the greatest and I'd love to try and do something about it alongside getting fit again.
Travel Overseas
Another thing that I've wanted to do for years, something that involves a lot of planning and a fair bit of budgeting to get there.

Finish the first draft of my novel
This is definitely going to be a work in progress, but it's already started so finishing it is going to be the main goal.
Go a month or more No-Buy
I'm already giving this a shot for the month of January and fingers crossed that it goes well!
Read 100 books
Ok, this could be pushing it a bit but I've got a bit under two years to succeed...

Though these are only some of the list that I've written out for myself, I think that it may be possible in the time before I turn twenty-five.

A little something I made in early December and tried very hard to do a photoshoot out of to varying success. Here's to the year ahead being filled with good times and even better cake!
